Thailand: The next big golf destination

Thailand: The next big golf destination

This fascinating country has an ever-growing selection of world-class golf courses

Why not get away from the dreary European winter, leave the rain gear behind and enjoy two weeks or more of fantastic weather, excellent golf and a friendly relaxed break, with the added bonus of improving your golf game at the same time?

Play golf and improve your skills level in the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere of Hua Hin, Thailand, on some of the finest golf courses in Asia, such Black Mountain Golf Course, Lake View, Sea Pines or six other top class golf courses found around Hua Hin, including the first golf course in Thailand, The Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, built by a Scottish railway engineer in 1924.

Excellent accommodation, fabulous golf courses, professional golf lessons, wonderful Thai and western food and very friendly people, mean Thailand gives you a first-class service.

There are golfing/coaching packages so you get to play many rounds of golf and improve your golf or even learn to play golf at the same time (beginners are more than welcome). You also get plenty of free time to explore the town of Hua Hin, the region, the scenery, the night life and many other sights, sounds and experiences.

The golf in this part of the world is first class. Black Mountain, which is fast becoming one of the premier golf courses in asia, and certainly in Thailand, is the centre of the golfing/coaching holiday.

What’s special about Hua Hin?

Accommodation is based in a small but extremely well run and a friendly hotel just 5km outside Hua Hin. The hotel is run by a British ex-pat and is already very popular.

The golf in this part of the world is first class. Black Mountain, which is fast becoming one of the premier golf courses in asia, and certainly in Thailand, is the centre of the golfing/coaching holiday.

The facilities are first class; the course has played host to several Asian Tour events, including the Black Mountain Masters, which is part of the Asian Tour – this was won in its first year 2009 by Johan Edfors, who happens to have a villa at Black Mountain. Black Mountain was also host to The Royal Trophy between teams from Europe and Asia along similar lines to the Ryder Cup.

This event was set up by the late Severiano Ballesteros to help promote European golf into Asia and develop the game across the Asian Continent.

So, golfers are getting access to some of the best golfing in Thailand, in a exciting and vibrant country, a chance to improve their game if they so wish, using high-speed video analysis and championship proven teaching techniques.
