Tenerife Open TV times and betting tips
It is the European Tour’s second week in their Canary Islands swing, and this time the players head to the Tenerife Open. I have picked out three players I think will go well, but first here is all the information you need…
Tenerife Open details
Venue: Golf Costa Adeje, Tenerife, Spain
Date: April 29-May 2, 2021
Course stats: Par 71; 6,857 yards.
Course summary: This short, open, resort-style track is very similar to the venue of last week’s Gran Canaria Open, with low scores expected. Five par-5s will give players plenty of opportunity to get into contention, as long as they can negotiate the occasionally strong coastal breeze.
Purse: €1.5 million
Defending champion: N/A
Tenerife Open TV coverage
Thursday: Sky Sports Golf from 2pm
Friday: Sky Sports Golf from 1.30pm

Tenerife Open betting tips
As usual, I’m joined by NCG’s Steve Carroll to discuss my betting tips for the Tenerife Open on the Dialled In podcast. I’ve picked out three players who I fancy to go well this week.
You can listen to the podcast in the player below, or on your preferred podcast platform.
Bazza’s Banker: Maximilian Kieffer @ 28/1 with Bet365
A near miss at the Austrian Open clearly didn’t dampen Kieffer’s spirits, responding immediately with a second consecutive runner-up finish in as many weeks. The German shot an 8-under 62 to close in Gran Canaria, and on a similar track this week he will fancy his chances to go one better. Kieffer has now shot par or better in 14 consecutive rounds, throwing in five rounds of 66 or better. This run of top quality golf shows no signs of slowing down, and when you consider he ranked 2nd for SG: Tee-to-green at last week’s event, I can confidently include Kieffer in my staking plan this week.
The outsider: Laurie Canter @ 45/1 with Bet365
A solid start to the year on the desert swing has been masked by two mediocre performances from Canter recently, but after a short break I fancy the Englishman to perform on a course that will certainly suit him. A T4 finish in Abu Dhabi demonstrated a continuation of the excellent form he showed at the end of 2020, with two runner-up finishes in his final seven starts. Canter is exceptionally strong from off-the-tee, ranking 7th on tour, so he should have plenty of opportunities on this attackable course. Those types of figures will be very important here, so if Canter arrives fresh he could provide some excitement over the weekend.
The long shot: Matthieu Pavon @ 125/1 with Bet365
Pavon caught my eye with a solid performance in Gran Canaria last week, and despite an underwhelming final round he makes it into my selections here. Pavon opened with a bogey-free 66, and followed with back-to-back 64s to give himself a great chance of winning his first European Tour title. Unfortunately that was not to be, but he seemed to like the resort-style track. Stats sentence. At a big price, the Frenchman could well provide plenty of value for an each-way bet.
