TaylorMade introduce AeroBurner Mini Driver
It’s a curious concept to many of us, but there are a growing number of golfers who perform much better from the tee with a smaller head.
Less surprisingly, they also benefit from the extra loft of a 3 wood.
The idea of the mini driver was explored by TaylorMade last year as part of the SLDR line and now they are introducing an AeroBurner version.
It’s a moot point as to whether this club is more of a driver or a 3 wood as it effectively tries to blend the best of both worlds.
But as it is primarily designed as a driving club, TaylorMade consider it to be the former.
Available in three lofts (12, 14 and 16°) with a head just over half the size of a regular driver, it’s equipped with a Matrix Speed shaft.

The SLDR Mini Driver captivated the golfing public by delivering better 3 wood performance from the tee said Brian Bazzel, TaylorMade’s senior director of metalwood product creation.
