Sounder Raglan Sweat: NCG Summary
NCG SUMMARY
The type of sweater I want to own in all of the different colours. It is most definitely smart enough for the office but cut for golf.
The star detailing on the left forearm is understated but lifts the overall aesthetic just enough.

- Washes well
- Understatedly cool

First impressions
Not exactly a first impression, looking back up the 18th fairway at Alwoodley, contemplating how warm and comfy I am…
The sample we were sent is in a very cool tan, this was a bit of a ‘erm not sure’ moment for me as my entire wardrobe is grey and black. I wore it for the first time with jeans to the office and soon became glad for the colour variation. The sweat works just as well over a round necked tee as it does a golf polo. It was a long time from delivery to me actually playing golf, but as with all the Sounder gear it is equally at home off the course as on.
On Course Testing
I love playing golf in this top. The colour contrasts well with all of my trousers which helps make actual outfits. It fits incredibly well for golf. It is relatively figure hugging without being unflattering, and is in no way inhibiting. What is particularly pleasing is the length, and the length of sleeve, which do not encumber the golf swing and do hang around in the way that some more casual items do.
I have worn it over a polo and a base layer as well as just a polo and had no issues with layering. The fit is such that it also works well as a mid layer underneath a jacket or gilet.
The 19th hole
I think it is the epitome of on course, off course. The Raglan sweat is not compromised in either environment. Better still it is understated and fits properly so even the traditionalists cannot complain. I suggest you buy it here.
