Social Spotlight: Tiger's on the comeback trail (again!)October 14, 2016 The Scoop
Video proof that Tiger Woods is making serious progress, a 437-yard drive (wow!) and Harold Varner III destroys Steph Curry..
Swing of the week: Tiger lets rip with iron
Tiger’s back. Well, no.. he’s isn’t. Well, sort of. Oh, I don’t know.
The 40-year-old was due to make his long-awaited return to the PGA Tour at the Safeway Open this week but pulled out at the last minute.
Woods, who revealed his game felt “vulnerable”, released his decision to withdraw through a statement on his official website.
“My health is good, and I feel strong, but my game is vulnerable and not where it needs to be,” said Woods.
“I’m close and I won’t stop until I get there.”
Well, he looks pretty damn good here (see below).. that ball probably feels quite vulnerable too, Tiger.
Woods has undergone three back surgeries since his last PGA Tour appearance in August 2015 and after his latest stall many are predicting he may never make one of the most anticipated comebacks in the game.
Come on Tiger. Stop teasing us.
Upset of the week: Varner III takes down Curry in a swoop
Steph Curry has some serious basketball skills, and the 28-year-old’s golf game isn’t bad either.
The Golden State Warrior usually ply’s his trade shooting hoops on court but on Wednesday during the Safeway Open pro-am PGA Tour star Harold Varner III beat him at his own game. And, it was pretty epic.
There have been bigger upsets, but few as enormous as this in the annals of golf course basketball. ⛳️?

It’s been a tough week for Curry after Tiger ditched their pro-am pairing. But hey, he plays off scratch so it’s not all bad.
Drive of the week: Joe Miller destroys the Long Drive Championship
Imagine driving the ball 437-yards. Yep, we can’t either. Well, Joe Miller does it for fun..

The Englishman went on to take the World Long Drive Championship title in America defeating Ryan Steenburg in the final after powering this (see above) thunderous drive in the semi-final.
What is it Happy Gilmore said? Is that good?
Yes, Joe. Yes it is.
