Our resident pro James Whitaker shows us how to stop pushing your drives…
It’s time for another episode of ‘Second Hand Shorts’. You can watch some of the other episodes of the series below:
Second Hand Shorts 18: Pulling the driver
Second Hand Shorts 14: Fighting the left-hand side
Second Hand Shorts 11: Maintain the width in your backswing
Today’s short is all about how to stop pushing the ball off to the right with the driver. Our pro, James Whitaker, talks us through the problem from Reunion Resort in Orlando…
This problem comes from two things. One, the club face is too open, and two, the hands and arm swing is way too far out to the right.
To fix this you nee to put an alignment stick infant of the ball pointing at the target. We are going to try and get a hold of the club face a little better on the way back and focus on sweeping the club on the way back.
Get the club head working down the line when you hit the shot.
