Scotland: Dunfermline golfer wins triple crown
A Dunfermline golfer has added the Fife Golfing Association Champion of Champions crown to his match play and stroke play championship wins earlier this year.
Fraser Carr, 27, won by one stroke at Dunniker Park after shooting rounds of 74 and 70.
Carr has been a member of Crail Golf Society for 20 years and said: “Having my name on the trophy, as the first member from Crail Golfing Society to win it, is terrific. It was a great day and I am really proud to represent the society.”
‘It was a great day and I am really proud’ Three generations of Carr’s family have been involved with Crail Golfing Society, which is the seventh oldest golf club in the world, having been founded in 1786.
The society’s captain, Eric Morris, said: “On behalf of the members, I would like to congratulate Fraser on his magnificent achievement.”
