Saudi International betting tips: Top tips

Some of the market leaders – the likes of Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau – are going to face a lot of awkward questions this week about things that have nothing to do with golf.

Will it prick their conscience and affect their play? Unlikely in the case of DJ (13/2) and Koepka (10/1) but some of the (how can I say this?) deeper thinkers might get the odd twitch over an important putt.

Anyone who tells you politics and sport aren’t linked is frankly an idiot but it might be worth side-stepping a couple of the bigger fish in search of some calmer heads who aren’t going to be getting grilled in their press conferences about Saudi Arabia’s human rights record.

It feels only a matter of time before Matt Wallace adds another victory to his CV. The Englishman seems to be contending almost every week and his runner-up finish in Dubai was his third top five in his last six outings.

Tied second in the DP World Tour Championship last November, Wallace (25/1) is now mixing it in the best company and is amassing some decent form in this region.

Thorbjorn Olesen (28/1) is also putting together some very good results – almost under the radar. The Ryder Cup player’s tied 7th in Dubai was his fourth top 10 in six starts.

The Dane was ultra consistent at Emirates GC and four rounds in the 60s should leave him in good shape and confidence for another run this week.
