Shot of the week: Justin Rose makes Olympic history
Team GB’s Justin Rose made history by representing his country at the games on Thursday following golf’s return after an 112-year exile.
But the Englishman probably wasn’t expecting to break another record…
A historic moment for Justin Rose… and didn't he enjoy it! #Rio2016 https://t.co/8qMuHuipP9

The incredible hole-in-one occurred on the 189-yard, par-3 fourth hole of Gil Hanse’s new Olympic Course and required only a 7-iron.
We tip our cap to you, Mr Rose!
Story of the week: Emiliano Grillo chronicles a familiar story
Emiliano Grillo flew to Rio excited to represent his country in what was a historic occasion for the game, but the 23-year-old almost missed the tournament altogether.
And boy did the Argentine let his twitter followers know all about his story..
@AmericanAir delays, rerouting and 20+ calls can't find my golf bag. I am going to miss my chance to compete in the Olympics. @Rio2016

@AmericanAir seriously, find me a human in JFK, MIA, or Sao Paolo that can physically look for my bag and confirm where it is and send it.

Prod of the week: Henrik Stenson gets up close and personal.. with an alligator!
Henrik Stenson’s nickname the ‘Iceman’ has never been truer. Seriously, the Swede poked an alligator!
Probably shouldn't prod an alligator with a golf club Henrik Stenson… #rio2016 https://t.co/4l2twLkpSy

We have absolutely no idea what possessed the 40-year-old to aggravate the local wildlife and he clearly hasn’t seen Happy Gilmore!
Does the name ‘Chubbs’ ring any bells, Henrik?
