'Get into golf' at Leeds Golf Centre.

Leeds Golf Centre is offering free golf lessons throughout February after signing up to England Golf’s ‘Get into golf’ program.

The free coaching sessions are available for mixed groups, womens-only and families and are run by fully qualified PGA professionals from Leeds’ Leadbetter-trained staff.

Andy Herridge, head professional at Leeds, said: “After learning about this campaign, we were immediately impressed with the idea and we’re delighted to provide our services and support ‘Get into golf’.”
‘We’re sure to see a surge of new golfers’ Herridge explained that the sessions are being held throughout February and are intended for those who either want to get back involved in the sport of who are playing the game for the first time.

He added: “Our facilities are an ideal environment to learn the game of golf. With our relaxed and friendly atmosphere, advanced golf teaching services, and new for 2015, our floodlit short-game and driving range areas, the home of modern golf is the perfect setting for any type of golfer.”

Tom Freeland, Yorkshire Golf’s development officer, said: “It’s fantastic to have Leeds Golf Centre on board, so a big thanks to Andy and the team for signing up to ‘Get into golf’.

“We’re working with England Golf to grow the numbers of participants in Yorkshire and with programs such as this, we’re sure we’ll see a surge of new golfers in our county.”
