North East: College recognised for high quality training
The Greenkeepers Training Committee has welcomed Askham Bryan College, York, on to its Quality Assured Scheme.
GTC’s education director David Goulding, said: “Askham Bryan College has a long tradition in delivering quality greenkeeper education and training programmes through its dedicated turf team.”
The GTC held many of its meetings at the college during the ’70s and ’80e, during which the committee was administered by Nick Bisset, a turf lecturer at the college.

Golding added: “Golf clubs in Yorkshire and beyond have benefited from the support of the Askham Bryan turf staff and we see an even stronger partnership developing through the GTC Quality Assurance accreditation.”
