Nike unveil new Lifestyle apparel collection

The Scoop

If you wouldn’t wear it to meet your friends, you won’t find it here

Nike Golf have unveiled their newest apparel collection, blurring the lines between casual and regular golf gear.

“There’s nothing wrong with all the wonderful traditions around golf, but for so long, we let rules dictate what people should wear,” says Kelly Tweeden, VP/Category Creative Director of Golf.

“The idea of putting on a costume to play golf is an old idea,” Tweeden says. “You train in the gym, you go to the course, you practice, and then you come home and hang out. Why should you have to change five times?”

World Number One Rory McIlroy said: “The style of golf has definitely changed over the past 20 years, when it was big baggy polo shirts and pants”

“It’s become much more relaxed, it’s not as stuffy. I love having clothes that can work on the golf course but also off the golf course, especially when traveling all over the world.”

The Lifestyle line offers a range of options for golfers of all tastes, such as:

  • The Nike Swing Movement Polo – Offering a tailored fit for added comfort and a much more stylish fit.
  • Nike Dot Shorts – offering a polka dot pattern for those wanting to stand out on the fairways.
  • N98 Track Jacket/AW77 hoodie – based upon other Nike sportswear lines and available in black, white and grey.
  • AW84 hat – the adjustable hat is made from Dri-Fit material to keep you cool and transfer sweat much better than regular cotton or nylon.

The majority of the range are made with Nike’s Dri-Fit technology, which aims to keep you drier and cooler on the course.
