Nike golf sign US amateur star Joël Stalter

Nike Golf has announced the addition of French athlete Joël Stalter to its European Tour roster following an illustrious amateur career in the United States.

This week marks the 21-year-old’s first tournament as a playing professional, as he tees it up at the Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open in France.

Stalter, a 2014 All American, has agreed to a multi-year deal and after extensive testing at The Oven – Nike Golf’s R&D facility in Fort Worth, Texas – will be using a full arsenal of Swoosh product, including the highly-acclaimed Covert 2.0 Tour driver and RZN Black golf ball combination, as well as sporting Nike Golf apparel and footwear.

Stalter has represented UC Berkeley in California, but hails from Amneville, a small town in the northeast corner of France.
I was particularly attracted to the brand because of their commitment to athletic golf He represented the French national junior team at school, before taking part in a student exchange programme that saw him come to California for the first time, aged 14.

He completed his high school education in the country of his birth, before moving to the United States and working his way to a degree from Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He established himself as one of the lead players in California, and won the Austrian International Amateurs tournament in the summer of 2011.

Two years later he was part of the California team that won the 2013 Pac-12 championships, making it 10 victories from 12 events.

In addition to his five individual College victories, he was also a member of the 2013 Palmer Cup team, a Byron Nelson Award finalist and selected for the prestigious All American 1st Team for 2014.
