A comprehensive guide to the best golf shoes released in 2020
2020 golf shoes: FootJoy Pro SL Gold
To celebrate the ProSL leading the way as the number one shoe on tour, FootJoy have released a limited-edition Gold model. The new shoe features all the same tech as the standard ProSL model but has an updated colourway.
I love the way this shoe combines a clean white upper with the subtle gold detailing.

The new infinity outsole of the Pro SL means there are more points of contact between shoe and ground – 189 to be exact – and what FootJoy are calling the ‘Powerharness’ works in the same sort of way as the ‘Powerstrap’ on the Tour X in providing more medial and lateral stability.
The shoe is also available in a Carbon offering. It features a full-length carbon fibre inlay on the infinity outsole for even more stability and traction.
RRP: £149.99/£169.99 (BOA) £179.99 (Carbon)

New golf shoes: FootJoy Tour X
The TPU PowerPlate outsole with Launch Pod technology is the most stable FootJoy have to offer with the nine launch pods on the bottom covering an increased surface area meaning there’s even more width and stability than before.
Additionally, a bolder graphic underfoot provides a visually striking look sure to grab attention.

New golf shoes: FootJoy Flex
Upgraded from 2019 the Flex is now available in an exclusive new grey colour. The lightweight uppers and fitbed cushioning make this the perfect summer (or household isolation) shoe.
The Flex is now also available for women which I was particularly excited about when these beauties landed on my desk.

The Flex have also gone waterproof.
Given the ‘summer’ weather we get here in the UK I think you’ll all agree this is a great new addition.
The new Flex XP offers the comfort and flexibility of the original Flex model but with 100% protection from the new waterproof uppers.
2020 golf shoes: FootJoy Flex LE 3
And there is a limited edition Flec that feature the same on and off course versatility we see in the regular Flex but they have a new unique style.
I particularly like the eye-catching camo effect here, its part of the versa-trax sole which provides optimum on and off course traction.
The new Flex LE 3 are available in both mens and women’s styles with an option of navy and grey colourways.
2020 golf shoes: FootJoy Contour Casual
Designed to compliment the Spiked Contour model the new Contour Casual combine a soft, leather upper with a PU fitbed for comfort and added heel support. Perfect for you traditionalists out there who want a comfy summer shoe.
2020 golf shoes: FootJoy SuperLites XP
Waterproof, lightweight and flexible – all the qualities you want in a golf shoe for the summer months.
