After 12 months of testing it’s finally time to reveal the winners of the NCG Equipment Awards for the year. We’ll be revealing our winners across nine categories between now and the new year – so let’s get on with it. Here are the best driving irons 2019 had to offer.

Easiest to launch: Titleist U510
The fact I hit a 1-iron in this model and actually got it off the ground is testament in itself. I have never been one for driving irons and I found this remarkably easy to hit.
Best for control: Mizuno MP-20 HMB
Aesthetics to die for and added forgiveness are a double win in this iron. Exceptional feel off the face makes it so easy to control launch and shot shape with the Mizuno MP-20 HMB.
Most powerful: Ping G410 crossover
Not only does the Crossover feel great when you hit it but it also generate some seriously impressive carry and ball speed numbers.
