After qualifying and subsequently turning pro, Gal was unable to compete in collegiate golf, instead she completed her degree whilst playing full-time on the LPGA Tour.
Gal graduated in 2008 with a degree in advertising.
The German represented Europe as part of the 2011 winning side and has been a regular Top 50 player in the world since the same year.
Despite regularly challenging for honours on the LPGA and LET, Gal only has one professional victory – her solitary win coming at the 2011 Kia Classic – taking the title from South Korean Jiyai Shin by a solitary stroke.
