Course stats: Par 71; 6,751 yards
Course summary: This is a course we will recognise from previous editions of this tournament, with five of the last six editions being held at HimmerLand. This undulating parklands is a short, tight track with a real premium on accuracy. Solid ball strikers tend to do well here, and some wind management experience is vital as conditions can test you. Penal rough and slow Bentgrass greens pose further problems to players, with British players tending to be very successful here.

Made in HimmerLand betting tips
Matthias Schwab @ 25/1 with Bet365
The Austrian has been in a fine run of form recently, and with some strong previous course form, I like his chances this week. Schwab ranks in the top-24th for driving accuracy, 10th for SG: Approach and 6th for GIR, all of which will be important at this track. He finished 9th in his only previous start in this event, and has three top-11 finishes in his last four events on the European Tour. While he is yet to secure his first European Tour title, Schwab is certainly on the right path and this could be an excellent chance to finally get over the line.
Eddie Pepperell @ 30/1 with Bet365
Pepperell has been getting back to his best in recent weeks, and he could be a great shout to secure his third European Tour win in Denmark. We have already alluded to the fact that British players tend to play well here, and after a strong performance at the British Masters to finish 11th, Pepperell will fancy his chances. The Englishman was 4th here in 2014, and ranked 17th for SG: Tee-to-Green at the Belfry in windy conditions last time out. Most impressively he was 6th for Par-3 Scoring and 9th for Par-4 Scoring at the British Masters, and if he can just improve his Par-5 Scoring this week he will have another great chance at a reasonable price.
Andrew Johnston @ 28/1 with Bet365
Another player in resurgent form is the man they call ‘Beef’, and with a very consistent display at the Belfry in similar conditions catching my eye, he rounds off my selections this week. Johnston was 25th here in 2019, which was his best attempt in three previous visits. The Englishman was 4th two starts ago at the Canary Islands Championship, and recorded his only European Tour win to date at a similarly tricky Valderrama. Last time out he ranked 6th for Driving Accuracy, 13th for GIR, and 25th for Putts-per-GIR – outlining the consistency in all areas of his game at the moment. At a big price, I’ll be rooting for Beef to put in a big display.
