What’s in Lucas Herbert’s bag?

What gear does the Australian have in the bag? Equipment editor Hannah Holden takes a look - and there are some interesting omissions

Lucas Herbert has two European Tour victories after breaking his duck at the 2020 Omega Dubai Desert Classic before doubling up at the Irish Open 18 months later. The Australian now has a PGA Tour title on his CV.

He’s a TaylorMade tour staffer and carries a full bag of TaylorMade equipment. So let’s take a look in his bag…

Interestingly, Herbert does not game a 5-iron under the premise that he can hit all the shots and distances he needs without it. This means he can make better use of an extra wedge in the bottom of the bag and can play a 5-wood or driving iron at the top to fill the gap between the longest iron and first wood.

Also interesting – if you’re a proper gear geek like me – is that Herbert has the exact same lie angle of 58 degrees in every club. Pretty cool.

Herbert is carrying the new SIM driver as well as the SIM fairway wood before opting to keep his 5-wood in the M6 model.

Lucas carries a full set of the TaylorMade P7TW blades co-designed by Tiger Woods.
