Irons test results: Yonex EZone XP irons review
First impressions: I haven’t had much experience with graphite shafts but the head and shaft combinations I have previously tested from Yonex have all worked really well.
The look and feel is premium and there is some cool Japanese design to boot.

What they say: The Ezone XP range features what Yonex call the Dual Tungsten Power [DTP] System – an innovative engineering breakthrough that produces maximum power and distance.
The newly designed DTP System, featuring Tungsten in both the grip and club head, works in conjunction with the lightweight shaft.
The result is a swing that delivers an explosive power breakthrough with the same effort, adding more yards to your game.

NCG Verdict: From the outset, I got on really well with these irons.
Yonex product always has a premium look and feel to me which tends to be matched by performance. These irons were no exception.
This was the only set I tested which had graphite shafts which I’m not used to but it certainly wasn’t a negative for me. I found these incredibly easy to swing and hit.
These are high-quality components which are designed to work together and the result is consistent, long distances.
If you’ve not had much experience with Yonex clubs before I’d definitely recommend giving these irons a hit.
