How to read a green: The main points
The first place to learn what green reading is all about is on the putting green. There are many distractions when you get out on the course you want to learn the art of green reading before you head on to the course.
They key thing here is to assess the slopes with your feet. Your eyes can deceive you when assessing a putt, especially if you just take a look from behind the ball.
