Representatives from across the golf industry met at Carden Park this week for discussions around how to grow the game.
American Golf hosted a conference which was attended by Sky, The British Golf Industry Association, Naitonal Club Golfer publishers Sports Publications, The Golf Course Owners Association, National Golf Month and the company’s newly-appointed charity, the Golf Foundation.
National Golf Month founder Doug Poole said: “This was the perfect platform for so many of the key players in the golf industry to share our thoughts and ideas.
‘It was really heartening to hear how everyone is working together’ “As an industry, we rarely get together to discuss our concerns and it was really heartening to hear how everyone is working together for a brighter future.”
American Golf’s head of marketing, Daniel Gathercole, explained why the company decided to host the event and said: “We thought that the timing and location made for the ideal place for the industry to share ideas about how to grow the game of golf. It is clear to everyone who took part that the success of any initiatives relies very much on co-operation and we are determined to help where possible.”
