Golf Club raises £15,000 for On Course Foundation

Foundation launched in 2010 to help wounded and injured service personnel in rehabiliation

Golfers at Richmond Golf Club in Petersham raised a huge £15,000 in a Captain’s charity day held in support of injured servicemen and women.

The On Course Foundation – which is based in Richmond – supports injured service personnel and veterans by providing funds to aid them in their physical and mental recovery.

The On Course Foundation teams up with National Golf month

The Foundation has helped over 400 injured and disabled servicemen and women in the previous five years, providing skills training and even employment opportunities in the golf industry.

Jeremy Williams, The Richmond Golf Club Captain, commented: “Everyone at Richmond Golf Club has been greatly touched to learn about the incredible work that the team at On Course Foundation carry out.

“Over the last eight years the Club has raised over £300,000 for local charities, and we are very proud to be able to donate this year’s fund-raising to help servicemen and women who have been injured in the course of duty.”

The charity day featured numerous competitions, including a ‘nearest the pin’ challenge between club members and an On Course Foundation ambassador.
