Repetition alone is not enough, but how we practice is key
In this video Alex Nicolson will explain the truth behind good practice, which we all know – too much practice is almost as bad as no practice at all.
Repetition alone is not enough, but how we practice is key, as simply repeating the right movement will not provide the progress we need to drastically improve our golf.
Expert coaches use the ‘Sweet spot learning’ technique.
During this sweet spot our brain is able to associate the task at hand and the appropriate movement. This association helps the right swing come to the forefront and help us hit the shot at hand when we are out on the course.
To find our ‘learning sweet spot’ we can try hitting shots such as a drive off the deck, or from a low tee and we will refine these difficult shots to improve our swing technique.
