Ecco’s formal spikeless shoe

Danish specialists launch traditional-look model to add to trainer collection

TWO years ago Danish brand Ecco introduced the concept of a spikeless trainer to the world and now they are unveiling a shoe with the same technology – but this time with a more formal look.

The Tour Hybrid is the game’s first crossover model featuring a refined, traditional leather upper design – and as you can see above, it really does look smart.

Ideal for the player seeking shoes that you can wear with equal style on the the street, course and in the clubhouse, the Tour Hybrid is built on the award-winning EDTS (Ecco Dynamic Traction System) outsole that also features in the hugely successfully Biom Hybrid and Golf Street models.

This boasts a patented configuration of approximately 100 moulded traction bars and 800-plus traction angles.

Constructed from TPU – a highly durable, wear-resistant material – these elements provide superior grip in all conditions.

“Golf Street was followed by Biom Golf, then Biom Hybrid and now Tour Hybrid,” said Michael Waack, Ecco’s head of global golf.

“Each year, our innovations set the bar even higher and gain Ecco legions of new fans worldwide who appreciate the unique comfort, performance and style characteristics of our shoes.”

The Tour Hybrid is available in three distinct upper patterns and several colour options to suit a variety of looks. We especially love the classy look of the striking tan version.

SRP: Tour Hybrid £160;
        Tour Hybrid Gore-Tex £180
