After a lengthy UK stint, the European Tour returns to the continent and our tipster has picked out three players to shine in the Czech Republic
As we wave goodbye to the UK Swing for another season, the European Tour flies back to the continent and this week lands at the Albatross Golf Resort for the D+D Real Czech Masters. With an interesting field lining up for this event, I have delved deep into the facts and figures to identify three players I think can go well this week. But first…
D+D Real Czech Masters details
Venue: Albatross Golf Resort, Prague, Czech Republic
Date: August 19-22 , 2021
Course stats: Par 72; 7,467 yards
Course summary: This mildly undulating parklands course has been a staple on the European Tour since 2014, and despite some challenges it shouldn’t pose the players too many problems this week. Three par-5s in four holes around the turn is where players will look to capitalise and take the momentum into the back-nine, while a potentially watery finish could spell disaster come Sunday.
Defending champion: Thomas Pieters (-19)
D+D Real Czech Masters TV times
Thursday: Sky Sports Golf – Red Button and Sky Sports Mix from 12pm.
Friday: Sky Sports Golf – Red Button from 12pm.
Saturday: Sky Sports Golf – Red Button from 12.30pm.

D+D Real Czech Masters betting tips
Bazza’s Banker: Jacques Kruyswijk @ 25/1 with Bet365
Another week on the European Tour, another opportunity to ambitiously tip Jacques Kruyswijk. Despite the repetitive nature of this selection, there is concrete evidence for why he has a great chance here, and I like his chances to take this event.
With only a few months of the season remaining, the South African still ranks 1st for Stroke Average on the European Tour. When you also consider that he ranks 11th for SG: Tee-to-green and 5th for SG: Putting this season, his appeal really starts to dial up. Finish that off with the fact he has not finished outside the top-25 in any of his seven European Tour starts this season, this truly is a banker in my eyes.
Chase Hanna @ 40/1 with Bet365
How can you ignore a player that has six top-7 finishes in his last nine starts? The answer is… you can’t. Chase Hanna is really making waves on the European Tour, helped by three consecutive 6th place finishes at the Euram Bank Open, Cazoo Open and Hero Open, recently.
A missed cut last time out is far from ideal, but Hanna is still finding his feet on this stage so that is bound to happen. As a young player with plenty of potential, this could be the perfect event to pick up a first tour win, and in the process make us some healthy profit.
Rhys Enoch @ 160/1 with Bet365
Rhys Enoch put together three solid rounds of golf at the Cazoo Open last time out, and yet will be disappointed not to have bettered a 13th place finish. A third-round 77 killed momentum on that charge, but the Welshman is certainly better than his price this week suggests.
Enoch was 14th at the Scandinavian Mixed, and won the D+D Real Slovakia Challenge on the Challenge Tour in 2019. A win on the Sunshine Tour in March suggests he is more than good enough in comparison to the rest of this field, and at a three-figure price, I won’t think twice about a small each-way bet.
