You’ve hopefully watched my video on how to stop thinning your shots, now I want to give you a few tips on the opposite problem: hitting irons fat.
So how do you fix that? I’ve got a few things you might want to consider…
Hitting irons fat: The main points
There’s a couple of reasons this will be happening. One is that you’ll be getting too steep on the ball, another is that you are backing out of the shot, getting no weight shift forward, and then you end up catching the ground way before the ball.
So how do we fix this? Well I have a great drill for you that you can practise at home or at the driving range. It involves a huge brick wall and just one golf club.
