Who will win the D+D Real Czech Masters?
It’s been more than a month since we last saw some regular European Tour action at the Scottish Open, so who can shake off the ring rust in Prague? Here are our D+D Real Czech Masters betting tips…

Course summary: Opened a decade ago, the Albatross course is renowned for its tough finishing hole – with a creek running down the left and stretching out into a lake by the green. On a somewhat hilly site, close to a nature reserve, it can be a challenge.

D+D Real Czech Masters betting tips: Joe’s players to follow
It’s been a while for many of these players haven’t played competitive golf in some time. With this in mind, its worth a look back to the Trophee Hassan II which was the returning event after a similar gap around the Masters. This could provide some pointers who deal well with a break and get straight back into the groove.
This leads me to Matthias Schwab (66/1) who finished in a tie for 9th at the Hassan II and had the exact same finish at this event one year ago.
He has demonstrated that he can cope well with a lay-off and on three occasions since the turn of the year has finished inside the top-10, including a T3 at the BMW International. A maiden European Tour victory is just around the corner.
Currently ranked 4th in the tour’s scrambling stats and 16th in strokes gained around the greens, the challenging layout shouldn’t trouble him too much.
Lee Slattery (45/1) has begun to turn his season around in recent events after a run six straight missed cuts earlier this year.
The links swing seems to have reinvigorated the Englishman and he has opened his previous two tournaments with rounds of 65 and 64.
A second-round 74 at the Irish Open dented his chances there but he did record a tied-7th in Scotland on his last outing.
This week poses a good opportunity for him to put four low rounds together. He knows this event and recorded a T4 12 months ago which will help to rekindle some good thoughts.
Jeff Winther (70/1) has played a limited schedule this year on the European Tour, but when he has teed it up he has shown signs of threatening.
Of the events he’s played, four have been over the standard strokeplay format in which he has made the cut three times with finishes of T34, T64 and T28.
He impressed in the Belgian Knockout earlier in the season finishing 11th after shooting 67 and 70 in the opening two rounds of strokeplay before heading into matchplay.
A tie for 9th at this event last year is enough for me to part with a small amount of each-way cash.
Finally, we land at Alejandro Canizares (100/1) of Spain who looks to be a good outside each-way pick.
The World No. 698 has been consistent on tour this year and is capable of putting in a big performance, as his top 10 at the Made in Denmark proved. His most recent outings have been trending in the right direction with improvements made on each of his last four appearances.
He could well continue to improve in form and could provide a nice return for the each-way punter.
