Should there be more tour events in England?
European Tour events in England are few and far between.
With the long-term future of the British Masters nowhere near being secure, England only has the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth guaranteed each season, while four of the 10 Open Championship venues are south of Hadrian’s Wall.
So what do the fans think of this? I was at the British Masters at Hillside this week, so I went round and asked a few of them what they think. Watch the video at the top of the page to see what you, the humble club golfers – and a handful of the tour pros – are saying about the number of European Tour events in England.
Do you agree? Do you think that England, or indeed the United Kingdom, needs more European Tour events? Or do we have enough and more should be spread around Europe and beyond?
