Chris Hanson’s Quick Tips: Improve your chipping
Chris is a Stromberg ambassador and is attached to Woodsome Hall near Huddersfield. He gained his European Tour card after taking the 27th and final place at Q School in 2015. To date he has played in one Open Championship, at Royal Liverpool, in 2014.
After turning professional in 2006 Chris went on to win four times on the Europro Tour, three of these wins coming in 2011, which then led to him topping the OOM and graduating to the Challenge Tour for 2012.
Over the next four seasons on the Challenge Tour, Chris finished inside the top 10 seven times, and with a career high T3rd in the Aegean Airlines Challenge in Germany. In 2015, Chris finished the season 42nd on the OOM after a strong end to the year and then went onto the European Tour Qualifying School gaining the last card for the 2016 Race to Dubai!
Another highlight in Chris’s career was in 2014 where he qualified for The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool (Hoylake) after leading the qualifying event at Hillside GC.
