The majors are over for another year but thankfully we’ve got the Ryder Cup to look forward to next month.
It’s full-on Ryder Cup fever at NCG from now until September 28. Only the six weeks to wait…
So expect to be inundated with Ryder Cup-themed golf equipment from now until then kicking off with these Callaway Ryder Cup Truvis golf balls.
These are the brand new Chrome Soft balls with Team USA and Team Europe options available.
But just to be extra careful with the rules – very few brands are allowed to use ‘Ryder Cup’ to sell products – these will be known as the ‘European’ and ‘Stars & Stripes’ editions.
Some brands like Galvin Green and Peter Millar (see below) for example are official licensees so have the rights to use the words Ryder Cup and images of the trophy.
Other official licensees include Adidas, Abacus, Bushnell, Lacoste, Nike and Titleist.
The balls will be available from selected retailers from August 20 with an SRP of £37.99.
More information can be found on the Callaway website.
Official Ryder Cup fan wear launched
The official fanwear can be bought from the Ryder Cup website.
The official fan wear included a range of polos, tops and padded jackets all featuring the Team Europe badge.
The prices are actually very reasonable with this jacket coming in at £60.
Let’s just say that the Galvin Green gear is a little bit more expensive.
Peter Millar even have Ryder Cup boxer shorts
These guys have gone all in with luxurious polo shirts, knitwear, layering garments, outerwear, custom print polos and even boxer shorts adorned with mini Eiffel Towers and Ryder Cups.
Peter Millar and Galvin Green will have official merchandising tents at Le Golf National next month.
Items can be purchased from the Peter Millar website.
