Analyst exposes humiliating Patrick Reed nickname
Forget Captain America, because it turns out Patrick Reed’s peers had another name for him while on the PGA Tour
Just when we thought Patrick Reed had been called every name under the sun, a longtime sports writer and analyst for ESPN has revealed a humiliating nickname allegedly given to the 2018 Masters champion by his PGA Tour peers.
After Reed filed a defamation case against Brandel Chamblee and Golf Channel – one which put forward several outrageous claims and personal attacks over cheating allegations – golf writer Rick Reilly sarcastically took to Twitter to mock Reed before exposing the degrading nickname he was apparently given while on the PGA Tour…
Ouch. Now just how true Reilly’s claim is, or who exactly referred to Reed as ‘Table For One’ remains to be seen, but it certainly adds to what has been an exasperating past week for the American.
Reed will tee up at LIV Golf Boston next, where one would assume he is being treated a little more kindly by his breakaway league peers.
