Golf equipment: Adidas launch new waterproof suit in style
Adidas unveiled their first ever Gore-Tex waterproof suit in exciting style last night.
They invited famous staff players Dustin Johnson and Martin Laird to hit balls under a specially-made weather simulator that drenched the players with gallons of water and battered them with wind, giving the suits a rigorous test.
Following his wet weather experience Dustin Johnson said: “I know this part of the world is renowned for bad weather, but that was something else! It was great fun taking on Martin in his own back yard, and having faced these conditions we’re now fully prepared for whatever the weather throws at us this week.”
Adidas have designed their Golf Gore-Tex suits to withstand almost every weather type while maintaining flexibility, comfort and range of motion.
Available in four colours from August 1, the suits will be carried in the bags of all TaylorMade-Adidas players at Muirfield, though it’s unlikely they will need them. The jacket is set to retail at £224.99 while the trousers will set you back £174.99.
