This club in the centre of Madrid has 18 holes designed by Javier Arana, the Black, which opened in 1932.
There are also nine by Seve Ballesteros and when combined with nine from the Arana course to make a Yellow course.
The Black enjoys interesting terrain on either side of a road, and Arana's trademark funky green complexes are in evidence here.
Manuel Pinero renovated the bunkers but it remains true to the Spanish architect's original.
The green surfaces offer plenty of movement and interest while highlights include the short 9th and the three-shot 4th as well as a fine finale.
It has been threatened with closure as golf is not a priority in a city battling economic and environmental pressures.
