Argentario Overview | NCG Top 100 European Golf Resorts

PGA National Italy Course

The Argentario Golf Club features 18 panoramic holes and has been the country’s only PGA-licensed golf facility since 2019. It plays as a Par 71, and measures at just over 6,800 yards from the back tees.

The golf course and the driving range, inaugurated in 2006, were designed by architect David Mezzacane and professional golfer Baldovino Dassù. Brian Jorgensen subsequently shaped the holes: the result is a varied, spectacular and technically challenging course which winds its way through the natural vegetation and olive groves of the Mediterranean.

Water comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes at Argentario, with several holes bending round the natural lakes of the region. The course finishes with a stunning par-4, measuring 420 yards from the tips. The fairway is split into two by a stream and trees, with the longer hitters being able to carry. From there, the approach to the green is narrow, and with the clubhouse and hotel behind the green, there is a perfect vantage point over the 18th green.

PGA National Golf Academy

The Argentario Golf Academy has the privilege of being the official PGA National Golf Academy in Italy, and it is an incredible place to learn the game and to improve.

The Academy has an amazing driving range, along with a stunning short game area for golfers to hone their skills on the putting green, chipping area and in the bunkers as well. There is also state of the art technology on offer, with a TrackMan 3 simulator available for the analysis of the swing. Capto technology analyses player’s putting strokes.

Not only that, but every training session can be recorded and monitored. These sessions can come in the shape of individual lessons and group clinics, while there are also golf camps for children.

The Academy also offers a specialised club fitting service. The team of golf professionals can match your swing characteristics with the right golf equipment, maximising the results for any professional or amateur player.
