This well established and prestigious private members club creates the complete golfing experience for those who appreciate tradition and excellence in quality surroundings. Sandwell Park Golf Club was opened on Christmas Day 1897 on land owned by the Earl of Dartmouth. In 1946 the Club purchased the land from the Earl and since that time it has continued to develop. The Old Clubhouse was demolished in the early 1990s and a superb modern one built which is second to none. It is now in the enviable position as being one of the leading clubs in the West Midlands.

The Clubhouse appeals equally to golfers, the business community and families alike and is available to private parties for lunch and dinner with the facilities being ideal for conferences.

The exclusive and picturesque course wanders over wooded heath land and is generally recognized to be a challenge to the most experienced of golfers, with its greens renowned for their borrows and speed.

The original architect was H.S. Colt who has provided a course of nature’s own making where each hole is entirely separate, shielded from the others by either natural banks or lines of tress. In all, Sandwell Park demands difficult carries and requires careful placing of shots that have to be given a great deal of thought.

With naturally undulating fairways that create difficult and testing approach shots to the greens, Sandwell Park is undoubtedly one of the Midlands finest courses.
