It is a mature course of just over 6,000 yards which was designed by the famous James Braid and boasts tree-lined fairways and well bunkered greens.

It is always in excellent condition and a fair test of golf for both high and low handicappers. They welome visitors every day during the week except Tuesdays (Ladies only) and weekends.

What it’s like?
Haydock Park can be found within a mile of the famous racecourse. Designed by James Braid and a shade over 6,000 yards, the prime defences here are the small, well-protected greens and the trees that line the fairways.

The course
Haydock has an impressive quintet of par 3s. At one extreme is the 4th, little over 100 yards but with five bunkers and a slope just behind the green. By contrast the last is 190 yards and demands a solid tee shot.
