The club was founded in 1921 but not in its now-permanent location within the Wadden Sea National Park.


It didn’t move there until the 1970s, when Frederik Dreyer laid out its new course.


Esbjerg actually has two 18-holers, because there is also the Myrtue as well as the premium course the Marbaek.


Both enjoy beautiful settings but the Marbaek has the extra touch of class.



Here, heather-lined fairways wind between pines which are set back from the fairways and allow wide playing corridors.

It is a woodland course but within that character are several phases, with the start and finish on open land and the best stretch on the front nine that has a heathland character.
