Oulton Hall Golf Club

Course Information

Oulton Hall is an excellent all-round venue complete with a superb hotel, 27 holes, and brilliant practice facilities.

The course wraps around De Vere Oulton Hall hotel near Leeds – 20 minutes from the city centre, close to J30 of the M62 – and is renowned as being one of the north of England’s top play-and-stay venues.

The impressive clubhouse features a fantastic pro shop and dining facilities, while the Nike Golf academy offers top-class tuition and custom fittings.

The championship-standard Park Course is an undulating parkland  in the heart of Yorkshire that is both picturesque and challenging.

Built by renowned architect Dave Thomas, the course is notorious for the number of bunkers that provide a demanding, hazard-filled test.

The championship-standard Park Course is an undulating parkland in the heart of Yorkshire that is both picturesque and challenging.

The Park course has several memorable, strong holes and annually hosts the PGA City of Leeds Cup. Oulton Hall is also home to the nine-hole Hall course, a very enjoyable test in its own right.

The great-looking 17th on the Park Course is a tight par-4 lined by trees and a real card-wrecker.

Downhill all the way, it doesn’t always play its full 387 yards, but demands a well-struck, accurate tee shot otherwise all hard work up to that point can be ruined.

Many opt for a long iron off the tee for placement and safety – take out the big dog at your peril.

The birdie chance is the 15th on the Park Course, which measures just over 300 yards and features a sharp dog-leg that strong hitters can take on – some will be able to hit the green.

However, even if you lay up with a long iron there is still a good opportunity to stick it close.
