Corballis is the only public links in Ireland and boasts 100 years of history.

This pay-and-play course sits on the adjoining piece of north Dublin linksland to our Britain and Ireland Top 100 entry The Island, which gives you an idea of the quality of terrain Corballis enjoys.

It is short by modern standards but there now isn't a weak hole out there and even strong players have to earn a good score.

All our favourite links features are enjoyed at Corballis: rippling fairways, cute green complexes, pot bunkers, firm fescue turf, and interesting putting surfaces. They are linked together by a strong routing and a fine variety of holes.

The course has seen major improvements in the last decade and more, with four new holes introduced along the coast to offer some breathtaking views to accompany the classy holes.

Ron Kirby, the American architect with a strong affinity for Ireland including work at Old Head of Kinsale, oversaw the loss of the existing 4th (for access reasons), 13th, 14th, and 15th (the latter trio because they were considered inferior)

In their place Kirby added two new two par 4s and two new par 3s by the seaside on the front nine, in doing so raising the par to 66.
