The ‘third’ course at the world-famous resort is a championship venue designed by the world-famous architect Robert Trent Jones Snr. It was the first of the famed resort’s courses to open in 1995, with the feted designer routing it between trees and across streams. The Roman Road overlooks the Severn Estuary and offers views across to Somerset and Devo.
It is named after the old Via Julia Roman highway that ran through its fairways. Incorporating a mix of open holes and ones between trees, it has been the host for numerous European Tour and Senior Tour events.
