The golf course at Buenavista was designed by the one and only Severiano Ballesteros. The Ryder Cup legend was the man behind the Par 72 lay-out, which measures at just over 6,700 yards.

That doesn’t sound too long from the tips, but considering that there will always be an ocean breeze, it doesn’t need to be a long course to be tricky.

Ballesteros designed the course in a way that brings the natural surroundings, and in particular, the rock face and the Atlantic Ocean, into play. Five of the holes play along the coastline, and it can sometimes be easy to get distracted by the incredible views. 

Not only does Buenavista play host to one of the last courses designed by the great Severiano Ballesteros, but there is also a high quality driving range, from which the Buenavista Golf Academy works out of.

The driving range itself faces to the south, away from the North Atlantic Ocean, and plays up a slight slope. There are both matted tees and grass tees, while there is also a chipping area and two putting greens by the clubhouse so players can hone their short game skills before taking to the course.

The Buenavista Golf Academy runs out of the driving range facility at the resort, and the team of qualified professionals provide personalised tuition for all individuals. They work with both beginners to the game and those advanced players who are just looking to fine tune their abilities. 

The Buenavista Golf Resort is serviced by the Hacienda del Conde Melia Collection as its accommodation, with the hotel being a part of the Melia brand. 

The Hacienda del Conde Melia Collection is an adults-only hotel, with only guests over the age of 16 permitted to stay. It is a 5-star hotel with stunning facilities, and those views of both the ocean and El Teide.

There is a range of green fee prices due to the different seasons. The highest price for a round at Buenavista is €130, which comes from December to March. Prices are reduced to €85 and €70 for the low seasons at Buenavista.

The Hacienda del Conde Melia Collection is the hotel at the Buenavista resort, which is an adults-only hotel. Therefore, the Buenavista resort is not suited to families.
