Kilnwick Percy Overview | NCG Top 100s: GB&I Golf Resorts

A Parkland Challenge

Kilnwick Percy’s golf course might not be the longest you will find of any of the venues on the NCG Top 100s: GB&I Golf Resorts list. It is only 6,220 yards long, and with wide fairways that look inviting. However, with water hazards, strategically placed bunkers and recently planted trees, there are plenty of challenges for golfers to take on during a round at KP.

The Par 70 layout starts with a testing par 4 to get the round underway. Two fairway bunkers are in the landing zone, while a stream cuts across in front of the green, around 50 yards short. The 3rd is the shortest hole on the course, at just 123 yards from the tips. If you’re playing from the yellows, then it’s less than 100 yards! 4 is the longest and hardest hole on the course. At more than 610 yards from the tips, a par is a great score. It is the first of back-to-back par 5s, with the 5th providing a birdie opportunity. A decent drive can put you within reach of the green, but even if you don’t go for it in two, there is plenty of space to lay up to find the green with your third.

The easiest hole on the property is the 11th, which measures just 290 from the back tees. It is drivable, but with two greenside bunkers, your tee shot must be accurate. The last par 5 at KP is the 12th and it provides another birdie opportunity, before you get to an interesting final stretch. 15 and 17 are both par 3s that feature water hazards, while the 415-yard closing hole is uphill and plays longer than its yardage.
