Located on the beautiful Llyn peninsula in Snowdonia North Wales, it comes as no surprise that the club has been described by visitors as the “friendliest course in Wales”, “a jewel on the Welsh Riviera” and “a fantastic golf course with stunning views”. If you are organising a society or a trip, then this course should really be at the top of your list. It has a really relaxed attitude with a minimal dress code in the clubhouse.
Whatever your golfing ability, the well-maintained course will test your skills . Take the signature par-3 3rd hole as an example with its elevated tee offering fabulous views over the bay, requiring an accurate and long tee shot over gorse and a water hazard.
Follow that with traditional links holes hugging the coastline contoured over 100 years ago through huge natural sand dunes, and finishing with some testing parkland holes.
It is not just the challenging course that attracts visiting golfers to Abersoch , it is also the excellent facilities that the club provides to visitors and members alike. These include the welcoming clubhouse, which provides the perfect relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a couple of drinks, a snack or a meal, while contemplating the shots that could have been, either in the comfortable bar or the patio area – ideal for al fresco dining and eating in the summer months.
You will be enchanted by this course – it is one of the real gems of Welsh golf.
