Formerly owned by the local council, the Golf Club took over the Course back in 1986. In 2019 the Golf Club built the new onsite 20-bedroom Belvedere Hotel and since then the Hotel has proved extremely popular for Golfing Breaks to the Seaside, attracting golfers from all over the UK and offering up to 10 local golf courses as part of their\u00a0attractive packages on offer.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SOCIETY GOLFING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether it\u2019s group bookings, a cosy Society Golf Day with friends or a large-scale bespoke Corporate Golf event, Bridlington Golf Club has everything for your event needs. H .Taylor to improve golf in Bridlington, the original course was formerly part of the Hilderthorpe Hall Estate.&nbsp; The land was obtained on a lease from local land owner J. W. Pitt.&nbsp; The first recorded membership fee was in 1907 when \u00a321.2s ensured full year\u2019s enrolment, a visitor paid 2s. 6d. a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between the 2 World Wars, Bridlington Golf Club and golf in Bridlington generally, flourished, and was honoured to have two members whose skill at the game was internationally recognised.&nbsp;Bill Stout, a local dentist, and Tom Thirsk, director of a local flour mill, won plaudits wherever they played.&nbsp;Stout won the English Amateur Championship at Royal Lytham in 1928, and in 1930 represented Great Britain in the Walker Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The facilities are also hugely impressive and include a modern purpose built dining room, \u201cThe Belvedere Brasserie\u201d, which has wonderful views of the golf course which is suitable for weddings and special occasions including; birthdays, private parties\/meetings, anniversaries, as well as being a great Sunday lunch venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NCG says&#8230;<br>An easy walking course with water features and some of the finest greens in the area. Thousands of trees screen the fairways and the course presentation is excellent.
