The American sports goods company say they have re-engineered from the inside out so every player can revel in the rush of a pure iron shot. But, what technological advancements have Wilson added to their new iron sets?
Let’s take a look at the all-new tech in the Wilson Dynapwr irons 2025….
The Technology
Included in both sets of irons is a new face cup design, the PKR-Cup. Wilson believe that this, combined with their AI generated Variable Face Technology optimises ball speed, distance and consistent launch windows.
The irons also feature a Voc, Velocity Optimisation Channel, which is located in the sole and behind the face. This again helps to maximise the ball speeds off the face of the irons to increase distances as it allows the face to flex.
This means the face of the club bends slightly at impact and recoils to spring the ball more effectively across the face including mishit strikes.
It’s fair to say that this technology is doing the trick as the NCG team were certainly blown away by the ball speeds being recorded during testing. Head to the NCG website to check the full reviews out.
The weight distribution is toe-biased in both sets to make the Dynapower Forged irons faster, more forgiving and higher launching. The centre of gravity is placed low in the core irons to create a high MOI and a higher launch for better control into the greens. This is repeated in the maximum forgiveness model.
