Vintage Jordan Spieth was back in full force during day two of the Scottish Open – and we’re not just talking about the golf…
While the American showed glimpses of his very best at a windy Renaissance, in true Spieth fashion he garnered all the attention for some classic on-course commentary.
In the latest of a series of hilarious back and forths between him and caddie Michael Greller, Spieth trusted his looper’s number on the par-3 9th before instantly disapproving of the result.
“I mean, it’s just not even remotely close to getting 90 yards,” he back-chatted after striking the approach. What happened next then had everyone in hysterics…
Classic.
Spieth ended up missing the putt, but it was another priceless interaction between the iconic pair as the Texan added fuel to the ‘always trust your caddie’ brigade. Although to be fair, is Michael Greller ever wrong?
As for off the course, Spieth was then forced to take to social media to shut down some rumours doing the rounds…
