As if the announcement that Tiger Woods is returning to the virtual arena he dominated for years wasn’t exciting enough, a new PGA Tour video game has been announced from his old friends at EA Sports.
EA Sports PGA Tour – currently in development – will allow players to build their virtual career and experience the sights, sounds, and thrills of life on tour including the Players Championship, FedExCup Play-offs, and, it was announced at Augusta, the majors.
As well as Augusta, players can compete at the Open, US Open, and PGA Championship.
The game will also feature many of the world’s most famous courses where fans will have the option to play against and as some of the biggest names in the game.
PGA Tour: Road to the Masters will be the 24th iteration of the EA Sports franchise of golf games. The first 24 were released between 1990 and 2014, with Woods putting his name to 16 editions between 1999 and 2013.

Earlier this year, Woods signed a deal with 2K to be the face of their series – with PGA Tour 2K21 selling more than two million copies worldwide.
The launch date for the new PGA Tour video game will be announced in due course, but it’s expected to be in the run-up to the 2022 Masters.
