Equipment: FootJoy launch new StaSof golf glove

For those who demand a premium feel and tailored fit in their golf glove

FootJoy are very serious about their golf gloves – and you should be too.

As overwhelming market and tour leaders, the brand have continued to dominate with popular models such as SciFlex, Weathersof and their Rain Grip and WinterSof gloves.

StaSof has long been the glove of choice for many of the world’s best players for its precision tailored fit and advance performance feel.

And now FootJoy have introduced the 13th generation of the Cabretta leather glove which they say is the most advanced yet.

FootJoy believe the glove is so important as it comes into contact with the golf club on nearly every shot. Poor grip or an uncomfortable feel are the last things you need to be thinking about – golf can be hard enough as it is.

The all-new StaSof has been crafted and hand-sewn to offer a soft and comfortable feel, tailored fit and superb grip and durability in all playing conditions.

Constructed from premium Cabretta Leather, the new design includes a softer, thinner elastic that contours the glove to the hand for a lightweight feel, improved fit and comfort.

A single-stitch mesh with strategically placed perforations also create a more comfortable feel and fit across the knuckles.
We look forward to bringing this fantastic glove to avid golfers across the country who demand the very best in performance” “Several players have already proven just how much they can rely on the new StaSof glove when it matters, like recent back-to-back PGA Tour winner Adam Scott,” said FootJoy marketing executive Paul O’Hagan.

“The feedback we’ve had from Tour players has gone beyond our expectations and we look forward to bringing this fantastic glove to avid golfers across the country who demand the very best in performance.”

StaSoft wearers include 2015 Open Champion Zach Johnson, 2013 Masters Champion Adam Scott, former FedEx Cup champion Billy Horschel and Ryder Cup stars, Jimmy Walker and Lee Westwood.

Comment

We have been testing out the new StaSoft for a good few months now and can vouch for the premium feel and performance.

Nothing beats the feel of a brand new golf glove and I think it will be very hard to find another glove that gives you the same premium feel as the StaSof.

You can tell that thought and effort goes into the small details – and that’s where FootJoy have an edge in this market over their competition. Every aspect, from the way it is stitched on the inside for added comfort to the way it is perforated across the knuckles, have been considered.

Most good FootJoy stockists should have a good sizing chart too so you know which size is best for you.
