Located in the heart of Worcestershire, the rather unusually named Gaudet Luce Golf and Leisure Complex takes its name from a Latin phrase found on the original 17th Century farmhouse which sat on the land over which the course was built.

Roughly translated, the phrase becomes ‘Rejoice in the Light’, and the motto still remains at the heart of daily life at the club, which has a progressive ethos and welcomes all ages and abilities to enjoy outstanding facilities.

The club boasts two courses, the premier layout being the Phoenix Course which offers a challenging 18-hole test. The course was formally opened in 1995 and has been subjected to extensive re-modelling and alterations since its inception.

The layout is split into two very different sets of holes. The front nine offers tight fairways and greens, creating little room for error and few birdie opportunities, whilst the closing nine is more open but contains expertly located water hazards. There is room to attack certain parts of the back nine, but an element of risk versus reward is ever present if you are looking to make sub-par scores.

The 12th is the premier hole on the course – a long par three containing water which protects the front of the green. It is essential to take enough club here, otherwise you stand a very good chance of playing your next shot from either the tee or the drop zone.

The Hadzor offers a superb stepping stone for beginners but also allows the more experienced player a chance to hone their short game skills.

In addition to the Phoenix Course, Gaudet Luce also has an excellent supplementary par-3 layout. The Hadzor Course was opened in 2004 and is built to USGA standards.

The short holes wind around three ponds and was designed with the development of junior golf in mind. The Hadzor offers a superb stepping stone for beginners but also allows the more experienced player a chance to hone their short game skills.

The clubhouse at Gaudet Luce offers players a perfect place to relax following a round, providing a light, airy and relaxing setting to enjoy both food and drink. Rooms can also be hired for private events such as parties, weddings and corporate functions.

Additionally, the club has a fully equipped professional shop with extremely competitive pricing and expert advice, and it also boasts a full teaching academy and custom fitting centre.
