Sand Moor is one of the most attractive courses in Yorkshire.
Situated some 5 miles to the North of Leeds City Centre in rolling countryside, there are splendid views over Eccup reservoir and the Yorkshire Dales and as far as the White Horse on the North York Moors.
The 18-hole par-71 championship course was originally developed in the 1920’s with the assistance of the renowned Dr Alister Mackenzie, who worked on many courses in the Leeds area and would later help to design the famous Augusta National layout.
Sand Moor provides an enjoyable and challenging experience for golfers of all abilities.
The club also features a modern clubhouse and changing facilities, a large practice ground, and an excellent PGA qualified professional.
With Alwoodley, Moortown and Moor Allerton all close by, Sand Moor is located in an area blessed with an outstanding array of courses.
Our advice is to visit the area for a few days and make the most of the superb golf on offer in the area.
